Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hertfordshire

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Full-time

Step Teachers are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Hertfordshire. This role is set to commence ASAP on a supply basis. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN), we want to hear from you!

SEN Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Have a good understanding of special education needs
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school, including the class teacher and the SENCO
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • SEND experience is desirable
