Job description

Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Oxford who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to start in October. The role is in a Year 6 class and will be a mix 1 to 1 work as well as general classroom Teaching Assistant duties. This an ongoing supply role, initially until Christmas with the potential to be extended beyond.

This Primary School is looking for someone who can bring their experience into the school and make a positive impact on the school and pupils within. The school provide learning in an environment that is happy and healthy and advocates for the child’s creativity. 

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Able to provide support as a general classroom Teaching Assistant as well as 1 to 1
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a Primary School or with school aged children is essential 
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • Previous SEND experience is essential
