Job description

Class Act are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant located in Oxford commencing in April 2025. This full-time position is for 24 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion. 

Located in a rural area, this school is a warm and inclusive primary school, committed to providing an inspiring and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. This school has an overall 'good score on Ofsted.

Your duties as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
  • Work with other teachers and staff to develop and enhance the teaching program.
  • Promote high standards of behavior and classroom management.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students as a Teaching Assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practice.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
