We have a school that is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their breakfast club as a Teaching Assistant. If you are passionate about education and want to make a difference in students' lives, we would love to hear from you!
Your duties as a Teaching Assistant:
- Supervise and assist children in the Breakfast Club setting, ensuring they are safe, happy, and well cared for.
- Help set up and maintain breakfast areas, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
- Support children with a variety of activities including breakfast eating, socializing, and recreational games.
- Promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among children.
- Encourage healthy eating habits and ensure that all dietary requirements are met.
- Assist with organizing fun, engaging, and educational activities for the children.
- Ensure children are ready and prepared for the start of their school day.
- Liaise with teachers and parents regarding any concerns or special needs.
- Assist with the smooth running and closing down of the Breakfast Club.
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you must have:
- Experience working with children (in a school or childcare setting) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children and staff.
- Ability to supervise and manage a group of children in a calm, caring, and supportive manner.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Patience, reliability, and a warm, approachable attitude.
- A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
