Job description

Position: Year 1 Teacher

Location: Barnet

Start Date: ASAP 

Type: Long-term Supply

Are you a Year 1 Teacher with a real passion to share and educate young people? Step Teachers are working alongside an ambitious school in Barnet, who are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher with a desire to instil that passion in the school’s students.

Year 1 Teacher – Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic lessons
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Year 1 Teacher – Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • SEND experience is desirable
