We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team at a welcoming school. The successful candidate will provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment, supporting young learners as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) into Key Stage 1. This role begins April 2025.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing tailored support where necessary.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children’s learning and well-being.
• Encourage curiosity, confidence, and independence in young learners.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.

Ideal Year 1 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years (preferred).
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and phonics instruction.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
• A nurturing and patient approach to teaching.
