Job description

Step Teachers are looking for a mixed Year 2/3 Class Teacher in a Primary School in Cheshunt. As a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, Step Teachers have long standing relationships with schools and academies and are currently recruiting a Year 2/3 Class Teacher for a permanent role. This will be a full time position starting in January 2025.

This Class Teacher role is in a 2 form-entry Primary School with high expectations and believes in every student to reach their full potential. Alongside this, this school is proud to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for every student to not only learn but thrive.

Year 2/3 Class Teacher Role:

  • Possess strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom with easily accessible resources
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members both in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingly comply with and effectively implement the school's policies

Year 2/3 Class Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have recent experience as a Primary School Teacher in a mainstream school
  • Demonstrate good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is desirable
