Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher for Year 3 to join this school and contribute to providing high-quality education for our students. As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative lessons, providing support to your students, and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential in a positive and nurturing environment.

Duties as a Primary School Teacher:

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the primary curriculum, ensuring they are engaging, challenging, and accessible for all students.
  • Support Student Development: Foster students' academic, personal, and social growth, promoting their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, supportive, and safe classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work as part of a team with other teachers and staff, contributing to school improvement initiatives and sharing resources and best practices.
  • Engage with Parents: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share information about their child’s progress and well-being.

Requirements for this Primary School Teacher position:

  • Educational Requirements: A degree in Education or a related subject, and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Experience: Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable, but we also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers.
  • Strong Knowledge of the Curriculum: In-depth understanding of the National Curriculum and how to deliver effective lessons across different subjects.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine passion for teaching and helping children succeed.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Classroom Management: Ability to maintain a positive, organized, and productive classroom environment.
  • DBS Check: A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
