At this vibrant school, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Art Teacher to join a dynamic Expressive Arts team. You’ll lead engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable), helping students explore a range of techniques, media, and art forms — and develop their own artistic voice. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an Art Teacher:
Plan and deliver exciting and inclusive art lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 if relevant)
Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and critical thinking
Encourage the use of diverse media, techniques, and cultural influences
Track pupil progress and provide personalised, constructive feedback
Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams (e.g. GCSE/A-Level Art)
Maintain a safe, stimulating studio environment with effective use of resources
Organise displays, exhibitions, trips and extracurricular opportunities to celebrate creativity
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school arts events
Ideal Art Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A relevant degree in Art, Fine Art, or related subject
A strong portfolio and subject knowledge across various artistic disciplines
An enthusiastic and flexible approach to creative teaching as an Art Teacher.
Excellent classroom management and ability to inspire diverse learners
A commitment to inclusive education and the celebration of pupil voice
Experience with exam board assessment frameworks (desirable)
