This school is looking for a dynamic and adaptable General Science Teacher to join their vibrant Science Department. You’ll deliver engaging lessons across biology, chemistry and physics at Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, medics and environmentalists. Beginning June 2025.

Duties as General Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in biology, chemistry and physics (KS3 & KS4)

• Use practical experiments, demonstrations, and digital tools to engage learners

• Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching to support all abilities

• Create a safe, well-managed learning environment, particularly in lab settings

• Support students’ critical thinking, curiosity and independent enquiry

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and innovation

• Take part in whole-school life including trips, clubs, and enrichment events

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in a science-related subject

• Strong subject knowledge across the three core sciences at KS3/KS4

• A confident, approachable teaching style and strong behaviour management

• Passion for making science accessible, relevant and exciting as a General Science Teacher.
