Step Teachers are collaborating with a school in Pinner that requires a Citizenship Teacher to start in January 2025 on a supply basis. Students at this school are confident, joyful, and thrilled about their futures, thanks to the exceptional team, who have high expectations for each child's success. They aim to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel in their vocations.
Key Responsibilities of a Citizenship Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Citizenship Teacher who can assess and provide constructive feedback to students.
- The Citizenship Teacher shall support the constitution and promote democratic principles and practices in the school and society.
- When designing and delivering classes, consider the requirements of individual students and collaborate with the student assistance coordinator when necessary.
- A Citizenship Teacher should inspire the kids to enjoy citizenship in all of it's forms.
Requirements of a Citizenship Teacher:
- QTS(Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Have previously worked as a Citizenship Teacher in a standard secondary school context.
- Exhibit great classroom and behaviour control abilities.
- Degree in Political Science is desirable.
