Step Teachers is currently seeking a French Teacher for a brilliant school within the Taunton area to start in February 2024 for a long-term role. The role will require planning and marking and will be paid to scale.

Developing strong, positive, and trusting relationships with pupils and their families it allows them to work in collaboration to ensure all pupils fulfill their potential and develop their talents. The role of a French teacher requires delivering outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all children. Instill a love of French in pupils, promoting excellence and upholding the School's ethos. To engage fully in the wider life of the School, according to strengths.

Role:

• Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 French

• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons

• Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources

• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school

• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback

• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching French at secondary school level

• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management

• A relevant French related degree is desirable

• SEND experience is desirable

• Able to commute to Taunton or live within the area
