Position: Geography Teacher

Location: Suffolk

Start Date: September 2024

Step Teachers are seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher for a permanent role starting in September 2024. This opportunity is at a "Good" Ofsted-rated school in Suffolk, which is known for its supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Role of a Geography Teacher:

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all the associated resources.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
  • Assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and implement them effectively.

Requirements of a Geography Teacher:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Geography Teacher.
  • Good level of classroom and behaviour management.
  • A relevant Geography degree is desirable.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
