Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for an experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant). We are working with a Primary School in Potters Bar who are looking for a full time HLTA to join their team from the beginning of December. This is in ongoing supply role which is likely to continue until at least the end of the Spring Term.
The position is at a Primary School which, at their most recent inspection, continued to be rated 'Good' under the former Ofsted ratings for schools. The ethos of the school is grounded in the belief that every child should learn in a way that will not only lead to success in their education but also in the wider world as well. The school values, including respect and resilience, is at the basis of their teaching.
HLTA Role:
- Able to deliver lessons and confidently lead a class across all year groups in the school
- Upkeep a tidy and organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
- Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
- Ability to support students and encourage their progression
- Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
HLTA Requirements:
- Recent experience working as a HLTA in a primary school is essential
- A good knowledge of the curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2
- A recognised HLTA qualification
- SEND experience is desirable
