Various schools are seeking Maths Cover Supervisors to support their Mathematics departments by delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. This role is ideal for a confident individual with a passion for maths and education, looking to gain valuable classroom experience. This role begins February 2025.

Duties as a Maths Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise and engage students in their learning, ensuring they stay on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Provide support and guidance to students where needed.
• Liaise with teaching staff to report on student progress and classroom activities.
• Assist with other departmental tasks when lessons are not being covered.

Ideal Maths Cover Supervisor:

• A strong understanding of Mathematics (a degree or A-Level in Maths is desirable).
• Previous experience working in a school environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Maths Supervsior.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and supervision.
• A commitment to student learning and development.
