Job description

This is a forward-thinking and inclusive school committed to academic excellence. Their Mathematics department is well-resourced, providing students with engaging lessons that develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in numerical reasoning. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as a Maths Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3,4 and 5 in line with the national curriculum
  • Use innovative teaching methods to inspire students and develop their mathematical understanding
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
  • Encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills in students
  • Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular Maths activities, such as Maths clubs or competitions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Maths Teacher:

 

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching Mathematics at a secondary level.
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
  • Is creative and innovative in their teaching approach
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Maths Teacher.
  • Is committed to supporting the progress and well-being of all students
