Job description

We are looking for a passionate and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join their school. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students in drama, music, and dance, fostering their creativity and confidence while developing their performance skills. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as a Performing Arts Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in drama, music, and/or dance.
  • Direct school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities.
  • Encourage students' artistic expression and confidence in performing.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning.
  • Stay updated with developments in performing arts education.

Ideal Performing Arts Teacher:

 

  • Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Diploma in Education) preferred.
  • Experience teaching performing arts at a secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of theatre, music, and dance techniques.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a Performing Arts Teacher.
  • Passion for the performing arts and student development.
