Position: Physical Education Teacher

Location: Liskeard, Cornwall

Role Overview:

Step Teachers are currently working with a reputable school that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to inspire and motivate students in the field of physical education. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being and development of our students through engaging and innovative Physical Education programs. The Physical Education Teacher will play a pivotal role in promoting fitness, health, and teamwork among our student body.

Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities:

  • As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of high-quality Physical Education lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment encouraging participation and promoting physical fitness.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them develop their physical skills and confidence.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Physical Education with other areas of the curriculum and promote cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and achievements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during Physical Education lessons and activities, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Physical Education Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Physical Education Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications (QTS) and certifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education to students.
  • Passionate about promoting physical fitness, health, and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
