Are you passionate about science and looking for an exciting opportunity? A dynamic school in Central London is seeking a committed and experienced Science Technician to join their team immediately on a full-time basis.

Science Technician Responsibilities:

  • As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up equipment for practical lessons, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely in the lab. You will work closely with teaching staff to support science experiments and help students during practical sessions.
  • The Science Technician will also ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and organized, following health and safety guidelines. 
  • Uphold the school's behaviour management policies and intervene as necessary to address any disruptions or issues that arise during cover supervision.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required.

Science Technician Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree – obtained within the last 5 years or have at least 6 months of experience within the UK at a Secondary school as a Science Technician that can be referenced.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team as a Science Technician.
  • Flexibility to take on Science Technician duties as required.
