We are currently seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s daily learning experience. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Provide 1:1 support to a named pupil with SEND (in-class and during interventions)

  • Adapt learning tasks and strategies to meet the pupil’s individual needs

  • Help promote independence, social skills, and emotional regulation

  • Monitor progress and contribute to assessments and support plans

  • Work in partnership with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external agencies

  • Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)

  • A calm, flexible and positive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant.

  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child development

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA or SEND qualifications) are an advantage
