We have various schools seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, helping them to reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role is for February 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teacher:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including those with Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
Assist the class teacher in adapting lesson plans and activities to meet individual student needs.
Support students with EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) targets.
Help manage behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND (preferred but not essential).
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and student well-being.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma, or equivalent) are desirable but not required.
