Job description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Step Teachers are actively seeking a qualified SEND Mealtime Supervisor to support a student in Year 1 during their break times and help maintain positive routines and behaviour while they're out of the classroom. This role starts in November 2024 and would generally fit the hours of 12pm - 2pm, Monday to Friday.

SEND Mealtime Supervisor - Role:

• Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
• Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

SEND Mealtime Supervisor - Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working alongside children with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
