Step Teachers are collaborating with a Primary School in Newmarket to recruit a Full-Time KS1 TA (Level 2 equivalent or higher) to join their team short-term with a potential of up to 4 weeks from 31st October 2023.

Role: 

  • Providing general assistance to students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Adapting and modifying instructional materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assisting students with personal care tasks, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility, as required.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, and providing feedback to the teaching team.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters independence, social interaction, and emotional growth.

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when faced with challenges.
