Position: Year 5 Teacher

Step Teachers are working with a school in Peterborough to find an enthusiastic full-time Year 5 Teacher to start in September 2024. This role is not suitable for ECTs/NQTs.

This school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and all aspects of school life reflect the school’s values of energy for life, learning and the environment.

Year 5 Teacher – Role:

• Demonstrate a robust grasp of the KS2 curriculum.
• Skillfully design and deliver captivating and comprehensive lessons.
• Maintain a highly organized classroom while ensuring the secure management and storage of all educational materials.
• Collaborate seamlessly with fellow staff members within the school.
• Exhibit proficiency in assessing students, monitoring their progress, and providing valuable feedback.
• Diligently adhere to the school's policies and consistently implement them.

Year 5 Teacher – Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
• Bring recent experience as a Year 5 Teacher from mainstream primary school settings.
• Showcase exceptional classroom management skills, particularly in effectively addressing student behaviour.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with support staff and parents.
• SEND experience is desirable.
