Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes across different subjects following pre-prepared lesson plans.

• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

• Support students with their learning and ensure lesson objectives are met.

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Has strong communication and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.

• Is confident, adaptable, and able to engage with students of all abilities.

• Has experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work) – desirable but not essential.

• Is looking to develop a career in education – ideal for aspiring teachers.
