This school in Hertford is seeking a creative and dedicated Design Technology Teacher for a 1-term contract during the Autumn Term 2025. This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage students in practical learning while covering a teacher absence or specific department need.

Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:

• Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may be available for the right candidate).

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.

• Mark and assess student work, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Track student progress, implementing interventions as necessary to support learning.

• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

• Contribute to the planning and development of the Design Technology department.

Ideal Design Technology Teacher:

• A qualified teacher (QTS essential) with strong subject knowledge in Design Technology.

• Experience in teaching a variety of DT specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering.

• A creative and proactive educator capable of engaging students with hands-on learning as a Design Technology Teacher.

• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with students.

• A team player who can seamlessly integrate into the department and school community.
