Duties as Head of Dance:

• Lead the strategic development of Dance across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

• Inspire students through high-quality teaching and a rich extra-curricular programme.

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of an engaging Dance curriculum.

• Coordinate performances, showcases, and external events, celebrating student talent.

• Support and mentor other staff within the Performing Arts faculty.

• Drive high standards of achievement, engagement, and participation in Dance.

Ideal Head of Dance:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a strong track record of teaching Dance.

• Has experience leading, or is ready to step into, a leadership role.

• Is passionate about promoting Dance both within and beyond the curriculum.

• Has excellent organisational and communication skills as Head of Dance.

• Is committed to nurturing creativity, confidence, and resilience in students.

• Is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
