We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a committed team at a great school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a broad and engaging humanities curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Humanities Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of humanities subjects (e.g. History, Geography, RE, Citizenship)

• Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils

• Foster critical thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world

• Create a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment

• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to intervention strategies where needed

• Take part in curriculum development and whole-school initiatives

• Uphold school values, safeguarding, and behaviour policies

Ideal Humanities Teacher:

• Holds QTS and a relevant degree in a humanities subject

• Can confidently teach at least two humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4

• Is passionate about developing learners’ understanding of people, places and cultures

• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Humanities Teacher.

• Is committed to professional development and collaborative working

• Brings energy, creativity and a sense of purpose to the role
