We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a committed team at a great school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a broad and engaging humanities curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Humanities Teacher:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of humanities subjects (e.g. History, Geography, RE, Citizenship)
Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils
Foster critical thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world
Create a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to intervention strategies where needed
Take part in curriculum development and whole-school initiatives
Uphold school values, safeguarding, and behaviour policies
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
Holds QTS and a relevant degree in a humanities subject
Can confidently teach at least two humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4
Is passionate about developing learners’ understanding of people, places and cultures
Has excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Humanities Teacher.
Is committed to professional development and collaborative working
Brings energy, creativity and a sense of purpose to the role
