Here is a friendly and supportive primary school dedicated to providing a nurturing learning environment for all students. We are looking for a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support their Year 3 to Year 6 students, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve success in their studies. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Support students with their reading, writing, and numeracy development.
Help with classroom management, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom materials.
Observe and monitor student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
Assist with the implementation of individualised learning plans for students as needed.
Support students in building their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
Help with the delivery of interventions and enrichment activities.
Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
A passion for helping students succeed and develop confidence as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.
