We are looking for a nurturing, creative, and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join an Early Years team in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a school's youngest learners’ school journey.
Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:
Plan, deliver and assess a broad, balanced and inspiring EYFS curriculum
Promote children’s personal, social and emotional development
Build warm and trusting relationships with pupils and families
Observe and document children's progress using formative assessment methods
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Support the transition of children into school life with care and consistency
Collaborate with the Early Years team and wider staff to share best practice
Attend staff meetings, INSET days, and contribute to school improvement
Promote the school’s values and positive ethos in everything you do
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
Have a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
Deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences both indoors and outdoors
Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
Use assessment effectively to plan next steps in learning as a Reception Year Teacher.
Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child holistically
Be passionate about early learning and committed to inclusion and equity
Be organised, proactive and a positive team player
