We are looking for a nurturing, creative, and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join an Early Years team in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a school's youngest learners’ school journey.

Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:

• Plan, deliver and assess a broad, balanced and inspiring EYFS curriculum

• Promote children’s personal, social and emotional development

• Build warm and trusting relationships with pupils and families

• Observe and document children's progress using formative assessment methods

• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

• Support the transition of children into school life with care and consistency

• Collaborate with the Early Years team and wider staff to share best practice

• Attend staff meetings, INSET days, and contribute to school improvement

• Promote the school’s values and positive ethos in everything you do

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development

• Deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences both indoors and outdoors

• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment

• Use assessment effectively to plan next steps in learning as a Reception Year Teacher.

• Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child holistically

• Be passionate about early learning and committed to inclusion and equity

• Be organised, proactive and a positive team player
