Step Teachers are currently working with an Academy who are looking for an experienced Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in January 2025. Located on A47 between Norwich and Great Yarmouth

This school under the old Ofsted scheme was rated a 'Good' school whose students feel safe and happy. The school have highly ambitious leaders for the students' education and they receive effective teaching. Behaviour in the school is good and the school leaders and staff challenge it effectively.  

Science Teacher Role:

• Good knowledge of the Science curriculum; including Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Maintain a well organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Be able to offer support and guidance to every pupil
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Science Teacher Requirement:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Science Teacher in a Secondary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant Science related degree is desirable
• SEND and/or SEMH experience is desirable
