Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable).

• Foster a deep understanding of world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical thought.

• Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and reflection.

• Adapt to different school settings and follow pre-prepared lesson plans or create your own as required.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and support students’ academic progress.

Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has experience teaching Religious Studies (experience with Philosophy or Ethics is desirable).

• Is passionate about fostering students' understanding of different religions and worldviews.

• Is flexible, adaptable, and confident in managing diverse classrooms as a Religious Studies Teacher.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of students.
