Job description

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a committed team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning and development, helping to create an inclusive and positive learning environment. Starting ASAP.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support teaching and learning activities across the curriculum, either with individual pupils, small groups, or the whole class.

  • Assist in the preparation of resources and classroom materials.

  • Provide support to pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

  • Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and routines.

  • Participate in school trips, events, and extra-curricular activities as required.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting (desirable).

  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to train).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.

  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils.
