Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum to meet the needs of all learners

• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn

• Monitor and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback to encourage continuous improvement

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging and creative lessons that help students develop key skills

• Prepare students for the transition to Key Stage 2, ensuring they are confident and ready for the next step in their learning

• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers, fostering a positive school community

• Use a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and individual needs

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

• Holds QTS and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2

• Has a passion for primary education and a commitment to providing the best possible learning experience for young children

• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a nurturing and positive environment

• Is creative and resourceful, able to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students

• Is a team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality curriculum as a Year 2 Teacher.

• Has excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner for engaging with pupils, parents, and colleagues
