We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive Key Stage 1 team. This is a key year for developing confidence, independence, and preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments. Starting May 2025.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs with a passion for early learning and strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support progress and a love of learning.

• Prepare pupils for Key Stage 1 SATs in a calm, supportive and positive way.

• Provide personalised support to ensure all pupils thrive, including those with additional needs.

• Track and assess progress regularly, using data to inform planning.

• Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure continuity of learning and care.

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics.

• Knowledge of assessment frameworks and end-of-KS1 moderation.

• Strong communication and classroom management skills as a Year 2 Teacher.

• A warm, inclusive and reflective approach to teaching.
