Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum

• Assess, monitor and report on pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records

• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND

• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment

• Maintain high standards of behaviour through positive strategies and clear routines

• Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and subject leads

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress and well-being

• Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, trips, and enrichment activities

• Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on your teaching practice

• Uphold the school’s values, policies and commitment to safeguarding
