Job description
Class Act Teaching Services are the leading supply agency in Oxfordshire and we are currently looking for an Art Teacher to work in a Secondary School in Abingdon. The school are looking for an Art teacher for long term cover from the beginning of February until at least the end of term but this is likely to be extended into the summer term.
This Secondary School has continued to be graded ‘Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools and strives to instil skills in their students that they can take outside the classroom. The encourage students to seize opportunities as they arise so they can aim high and succeed.
Art Teacher Role:
- Good knowledge of the Art curriculum
- Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom and the professional use and storage of associated equipment
- Work effectively with other staff both within the classroom and throughout the school
- Ability to report on the class you have been taking
- Able to plan, deliver and tailor thorough lessons that can be accessed by all students
- Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
Art Teacher Role:
- Hold Qualified Teaching Status
- Recent mainstream school-based experience ideally as an Art Teacher, or a teacher of a similar subject
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- Experience working with SEND is desirable
