Job description

At this school, they believe in the power of movement to transform minds, bodies, and spirits. They're not just a school—they're a community where students are encouraged to grow, thrive, and become their best selves, on and off the playing field. Their physical education program is an integral part of that vision, and are on the lookout for a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to join their dynamic team.

If you have the enthusiasm to motivate students to embrace fitness, teamwork, and resilience, then this is your opportunity to shine. Whether it’s leading a sprint, mastering a new sport, or pushing students to their personal best, you’ll be helping them achieve more than just fitness goals—you’ll be helping them develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Your duties as a PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver exciting, innovative, and varied PE lessons that get students moving and excited to participate.
  • Encourage physical literacy through activities that build strength, coordination, and teamwork.
  • Inspire students to explore new sports and fitness activities, while providing the support and resources to help them excel.
  • Help students build resilience, confidence, and sportsmanship, both in class and on the field.
  • Lead and support extracurricular sports clubs, helping students develop outside the classroom.
  • Organize school sports events, tournaments, and competitions—making them as memorable as they are fun!
  • Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and pushing students to set and achieve their fitness goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure PE is embedded in the school culture and works alongside the wider curriculum.
  • Encourage a healthy, active lifestyle in and out of school, motivating students to continue their journey beyond the classroom.

To be considered for this PE Teacher position, you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Passion for promoting physical fitness, well-being, and sportsmanship.
  • Experience teaching PE (preferred, but not essential)—newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply!
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple sports and activities at once.
  • A positive, energetic attitude with a natural ability to inspire and engage young people.
