Job description

Step Teachers are seeking an experienced Primary School Teacher located in King's Lynn commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 1 month initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a Primary School Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate lessons to ensure all students can access the curriculum, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Track and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to help them achieve their targets.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
  • Promote a love of learning through creative, hands-on teaching methods.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support the academic and emotional development of students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, extra-curricular activities, and school events.

To be considered for this Primary School Teacher position, you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of the primary national curriculum as a Primary School Teacher.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students to reach their potential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
