Job description

This is a vibrant and welcoming primary school at the heart of our local community. We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a committed team of staff, working together to provide an engaging and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in a KS2 class

  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies

  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting the school’s values and expectations

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community

  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and take part in whole-school initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil learning and development

  • Take responsibility for a curriculum subject area (dependent on experience and interests)

  • Attend staff meetings, training days and school events as required

  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils

  •

  • Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
