Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher with a love for lower Key Stage 2 learning?
We are seeking a creative and committed Year 2/3 Teacher to join a friendly and forward-thinking team at a vibrant school. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture a mixed-age class of enthusiastic learners in a supportive and welcoming school environment. For September 2025.
Duties as a Year 2/3 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in a Year 2/3 mixed-age class
Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing
Support the transition between KS1 and KS2 with a clear understanding of developmental needs
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting the school’s values and expectations
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community
Contribute to the development of the curriculum and take part in whole-school initiatives
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil learning and development
Take responsibility for a curriculum subject area (dependent on experience and interests)
Attend staff meetings, training days and school events as required
Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
Is an excellent classroom practitioner with experience in KS1 and/or lower KS2
Has high expectations of behaviour and achievement for all pupils
Is adaptable, organised, and enthusiastic about teaching a mixed-age class
Works collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff as a Yer 2/3 Teacher.
Is committed to continuous professional development
