We are now seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join their school and ensure continuity of learning across departments when staff are absent. Beginning May 2025.

Duties as a Cover Teacher:

 

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Support pupils to remain engaged and on task

  • Provide feedback to subject staff on lesson progress and any issues

  • Be a positive role model and uphold the school’s values

Ideal Cover Teacher:

 

  • A confident and adaptable individual with strong communication skills

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work)

  • The ability to manage a classroom and support a positive learning environment

  • Ideally, a degree or teaching qualification as a Cover Teacher.

  • A flexible, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in education
